Our commitment
Relyc Contractor Corp is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Because we serve public agencies and institutional clients, accessible access to our information matters to us as a matter of practice, not only compliance.
Measures built into this site
- Keyboard access. All interactive controls — navigation, the mobile menu, accordions, forms and buttons — are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Semantic structure. Pages use landmark regions, a single logical heading order, and native form labels associated with their inputs.
- Screen reader support. Expandable sections expose their state through
aria-expanded, decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology, and meaningful images carry text alternatives. - Reduced motion. The scroll-driven film sequences, marquees and reveal animations are disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion. Content is presented in a static, fully readable layout instead.
- Contrast and type. Body and interface text is designed to meet AA contrast ratios, and the layout uses relative units so it reflows when text is enlarged up to 200%.
- Without JavaScript. If scripts fail to load, page content — including every section of the home page film — still renders and remains readable.
- Responsive. The site is designed to work at mobile, tablet and desktop widths, in portrait and landscape, without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
The home page uses long scroll-driven sequences to present its content. While an equivalent static presentation is provided for reduced-motion visitors, some people may still find the length of these sections demanding. Every piece of information presented in those sequences also appears on the standard interior pages linked from the main navigation.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed when we change the site, using a combination of automated testing, keyboard-only walkthroughs and screen reader checks. Where we identify a barrier, we fix it.
